Egypt’s Minister of Planning Ashraf Al Araby revealed that the country will witness notable improvement in the services during the coming period, stressing that the government focuses on restoring financial and monetary steadiness as one of the major objectives of “Egypt’s Vision 2030” to achieve sustainable development.
He added that the government gives priority to fix the price of dollar and basic commodities, stressing the need for eliminating the black market. He added that Egypt’s current leadership decided to face the challenges and to change the policies dominating the country for years to achieve serious reform. He stressed that the signals of improvement will be witnessed in months according to the market response.
Regarding the government’s current program, Araby said, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the Egyptian authorities work to provide support for the services submitted to the citizens. He added that the current strategy depends on social participation to ensure its success by 2030.
He stressed that the government worked during the recent period to monitor the challenges to determine the standards upon which to adopt its policies to attract the investors and to ensure their participation in building Egypt’s economy.
He praised the decision taken by the Egyptian government to float the pound, saying that the decision comes to support Egyptian exports. He added that the government works to support the local industry, saying that the national projects perform a major role to improve the living conditions of poor people.
Araby called the Egyptian citizens for turning to the Egyptian commodities to ease the current dollar crisis and to reduce the prices, stressing that the Egyptian products are not less quality than the other foreign products.
