Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended on Sunday the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the U.A.E. Armed Forces General Command and the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The MoU aims to promote cooperation on raising awareness among students of schools and universities on the importance of the National and Reserve Service Project.
Present at the ceremony which took place at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, were Lt General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, Staff Major General Eng Essa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.A.E. Armed Forces and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations.
The MoU was signed by Major-General Pilot Sheikh Ahmad bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority on behalf of the U.A.E. Armed Forces General Command (the first party) and Ahmed Mohammed Al Marar on behalf of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior (the second party). Sheikh Saif stressed the inter-institutional relations to serve the nation and its people, adding that the National and Reserve Service Project and the Khalifa Student Empowerment Programme aim towards the same national goals through different means.
