Kuwait's flag has always been the symbol of Kuwaiti's unity, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Homoud Al-Sabah said on Monday.
He added in remarks to KUNA that Kuwait's celebration of flag hoisting on January 28 with the honor of the attendance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah represents the importance of this national event in the country.
The Kuwaiti flag is a symbol of Kuwaiti's unity in facing conflicts and challenges through history, he added, calling on all the citizens to "protect our flag and parenting the new generations on the love of this symbol that represents loyalty to our soil and wise political leadership." The public celebrations of flag hoisting will launch on February 5, under the auspices of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Muabark Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, with participation of official and public bodies.
This will coincide with the ninth anniversary of the accession His Highness the Amir sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, he added. Sheikh Salman called on all citizens to celebrate this event, wishing further prosperity and progress for Kuwait, under the wise political leadership.
