Cardiologist, Dr Hussein Abdul Wahab Baghdad - Najla Al Taey Cardiologist, Dr Hussein Abdul Wahab, has successfully performed Iraq’s first ever specialist cardiac surgery on a 17-year-old boy, in Ibn Al Bitar ?hospital, Baghdad. Wahab, who specialises in open-heart operations on young children, repaired the patient’s mechanical aortic valve, and stemmed severe levels of bleeding using a catheter. The procedure was hailed as a triumph in a country struggling to develop basis levels of medical services for civilians.
