Yemen strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the military base of AU peacekeeping mission in Somalia (AMISOM) in Beledweyne city, about 350Km north of Somali capital, Mogadishu.
The assault left dozens dead and injured including five Djiboutian soldiers.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry said in a statement, quoted by Yemen News Agency (Saba), on Thursday that it stands by Somalia in its fight against terrorists and extremist thoughts which aim at destabilizing the country.
The statement renewed Yemen's stance that rejects all forms of violence and terror acts.
"Such acts have nothing to do with Islam and its tolerant and moderate teachings and run contrary to our morals," the statement said.
