The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), JAn Kubis, strongly condemned the multiple suicide attacks in Tikrit on Tuesday which resulted in many casualties.
"Targeting civilians and inflicting maximum casualties among civilians is the hallmark of the terrorists' despicable tactics," Kubis said. "These latest suicide bombings in Tikrit show that despite the ISIS group being relentlessly routed on the battle fronts in the face of the steady advances by the Iraqi Security forces, and despite the wish of civilians that returned to the liberated cities to restart their peaceful life, the terrorists are sparing no effort to indiscriminately target everyone and anyone who is not willing to die for their barbaric inhuman Takfiri ideology," he added.
