United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the terrorist attack that reportedly killed and wounded dozens of people in the Turkish capital of Ankara that occurred late Sunday.
In a statement, Ki-moon expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, noting that the UN continues to support and stand in solidarity with the people and the Government of Turkey at this trying time.
The UN official also denounced the attacks carried out Sunday in three hotels in the Ivory Coast beach resort town of Grand Bassam that reportedly killed at least 14 civilians and wounded many others.
In a statement, Ban expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the people and government of the Ivory Coast and wished those injured a speedy recovery .
He also reiterated the UN's commitment to stand by the people of the Ivory Coast at this difficult time and extended his full support to the government in its efforts to bring the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
