Minister of Trade and Industry Tareq Qabil condemned the terror attack that targeted El Boutroseya Coptic Orthodox Church this morning.
These acts, he said, will not deter Egypt from continuing its war against the state's enemies who seek to hamper development and spread instability.
On that score, Qabil asserted Egypt's unity in confronting extremism, noting that Egypt's government and people will not backtrack from implementing the comprehensive development plans in order to restore Cairo's economic status as one of the most important regional and international destinations.
Meanwhile, the minister extended condolences to all Egyptian people, calling on them to uphold the interests of the country and work on fighting terrorism.
At least 25 people were killed, while 49 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassiya in Cairo.
