Syria condemned on Sunday a terrorist attack that rocked the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday killing dozens, including many women and children.
"The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry of the Syrian Arab Republic condemns the bloody coward terrorist attack which targeted Sunday al-Karrada area in central Baghdad, killing dozens, many of them women and children, injuring many others, and causing massive damage to the markets and shops which were bustling with citizens," a source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement quoted by the state news agency SANA.
The ministry expresses sincere condolences to the Iraqi people, the families of victims and the Iraqi government, added the source, wishing the wounded a quick recovery.
