Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims after a deadly attack at a Christmas market in Berlin.
Cerar wrote on his Twitter account late Monday night that he was "shocked by the attack" in Berlin.
His "thoughts are with the relatives and friends of the victims and the German people," Cerar wrote.
The Slovenian Foreign Ministry is monitoring the situation in Germany closely, the Slovenian Press Agency quoted head of the ministry's consular service, Andrej Ster, as saying on Tuesday.
A truck ploughed into the Christmas market crowd in the heart of Berlin on Monday, killing 12 people and injuring 48.
