Pope Tawadros II, the 118th and current Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, has sent a cable of condolences to the Belgian government and people over the victims of Brussels airport and metro terrorist attacks which left scores of casualties.
In his cable to Belgian King Philippe, Pope Tawadros II voiced solidarity with the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
He also regretted the heinous terrorist attacks which claimed the lives of several civilians and left many others injured.
Pope Tawadros offered condolences of the Orthodox Church to the Belgian people and government and voiced his personal support to the Belgian calls against violence in all its forms
