The Palestinian leadership condemned Monday's attack on an intelligence office outside a Palestinian refugee camp close to Amman in which five Jordanian intelligence officers were killed.
In a statement, the Palestinian presidency expressed solidarity with King Abdullah and the Jordanian people to confront such attacks which run counter to the tolerant teachings of Islam.
Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad al Momani was quoted as saying the assault on the office near the Al Baqa'a refugee camp on the outskirts of the Jordanian capital was a "terrorist attack".
Baqa'a camp is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan.
