The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attack that hit Baghdad on Wednesday, leaving dozens of innocent civilians dead and wounded.
In a statement issued on Thursday, OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani deplored the criminal acts of Daesh terrorist group which resumes attempts to harm the security and stability of Iraq.
He further offered condolences to the families of the victims and hoped a speedy recovery for the injured.
Madani renewed his organization's firm stance supporting the unity of the Iraqi territories and people, adding that the OIC is ready to cooperate with the legitimate Iraqi authorities to achieve the national reconciliation.
