The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack perpetrated against a military base on the border between Mali and Burkina Faso, an attack that claimed the lives of eleven soldiers and injured another four.
Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, OIC Secretary-General, described this act as unjustified and urged the local authorities to put in every possible effort to have the perpetrators arrested and brought to justice.
Dr. Al-Othaimeen reiterated the OIC's full support to the Republic of Mali and the frontline states in the region, to face up to this serious affliction and to achieve and promote security, peace and sustainable development.
