Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawqi Allam on Sunday phoned Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese.
The mufti condoled with the pope over the victims of Boutrosiya Church blast that took place earlier Sunday and left scores dead and injured.
Allam said that such heinous terror crimes will not sap the unity of the Egyptian people, who will remain united in the face of terrorism.
He affirmed full solidarity with the Coptic Orthodox Church and all Egyptian Christian people.
At least 25 people were killed and 49 more injured in the blast that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbasiya.
