The League of Islamic Universities (LIU) condemned on Tuesday the two terror attacks that targeted Tanta and Alexandria churches.
The league stressed support for Egypt's efforts to uproot terror and offered condolences to the Egyptian people over the victims of the terror attacks.
During a meeting in Riyadh, the league's executive council said terror has no religion or homeland, calling for furthering international and Arab cooperation to confront terror.
Terror violates all religions and international laws, the council said.
The council urged the international community to buttress Egypt in its war against terror.
The council hailed the vital role played by Egypt to support Islamic and Arab issues.
The LIU comprises more than 150 universities.
