Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Sallam has condoled with Egypt for the death of a number of Egyptian soldiers in a terrorist attack in North Sinai on Friday.
In a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Sallam said: "We have complete confidence in Egypt, its leadership, Armed Forces and people in overcoming this ordeal."
"The terrorist attack on the Armed Forces stresses, yet again, that Egypt is a target of the powers of darkness that aim to shake stability and create chaos.
"We voice full solidarity with the Egyptian people."
