Lebanese Mufti Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian on Saturday condoled with Saudi King Salman ben Abdel Aziz Al Saud the death of 107 pilgrims in Saudi Arabia when a crane collapsed on Friday in the Muslim holy city of Mecca because of stormy weather.
Derian wished God to invoke mercy on the deceased.
Some 238 people were also injured in the crane crash.
The accident occurred as hundreds of thousands of Muslims from all over the world gather for the annual pilgrimage expected to begin on September 21.
