Jordan Saturday condemned as a terrorist act a bombing in central Istanbul that left five people dead and injured dozens of innocent civilians, and expressed solidarity with Turkey in combatting terrorism.
"Jordan denounces the terrorist and cowardly attack that targeted innocent civilians", said Minister of State for Media Affairs and official government spokesman, Mohammad Momani, declaring the Kingdom's solidarity with the Turkish government in confronting terrorism.
The minister extended condolences to the Turkish people and wished the injured speedy recovery.
Momani reiterated the Kingdom's rejection and condemnation of violence and terrorism, in all its shapes and forms, that targets all without discrimination between any religion or ethnicity, and regardless of its source or motives. He called for concerted efforts by the international community to uproot terrorism.
