The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has condemned the Houthi damaging of Islamic religion books in schools under their control in Yemen under claims of violating the Houthi thoughts.
In a statement released on Saturday, ISESCO asserted that such actions are made by Houthis and other militants loyal to former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh who have announced a government which is not internationally recognized in a flagrant challenge to the legitimate government in Yemen.
ISESCO warned against the impact and risks of changing the educational curricula in Yemen as Houthis are known to be a sectarian group whose thoughts violate the correct and sound teachings of Islam.
