Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Salim al Jabouri Sunday strongly condemned Istanbul's terror attack that left at least 39 people dead.
Jabouri, in a statement, stressed Iraqi's solidarity with the Turkish people and leadership in face of terrorism.
He extended condolences to Turkey and families of the victims.
The speaker further called the international community to do their utmost to uproot terrorism and maintain stability and security in the region.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Vice President Osama al Nujaifi decried the attack and underscored the necessity of coordination and cooperation to fight terrorism.
Earlier Sunday, a gunman shot his way into an Istanbul nightclub packed with New Year's revelers, killing and injuring dozens.
The assailant shot a police officer and a civilian as he entered the Reina nightclub before opening fire at random inside.
