The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the two suicide attacks that took place Sunday in the Iraqi cities of Tikrit and Samarra leaving about 20 persons dead and more than 30 others wounded.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid stressed that Egypt supports Iraq in defeating terrorism that targets the Arab country.
He further pointed out to Egypt's stance on uniting the international efforts to face this phenomenon that contradicts with the humanitarian values.
Abu Zeid offered the condolences of the Egyptian government and people to the Iraqi government and the families of the victims.
