Finnish President Sauli Niinisto expressed his condolences to the victims of the earthquake in Nepal Saturday evening.
According to a press release issued by the presidential office of Finland, Niinisto has sent a message of condolence to President of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav.
In the message, Niinisto expressed his "deepest condolences on behalf of the Finnish people to the families of victims" who died in the earthquake. He also conveyed his concerns to all people who are suffering from the disaster.
A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Saturday, destroying numerous buildings and leaving nearly 1,500 people dead.
