The Egyptian consulate in Shanghai opened a condolence book for late Nobel Prize-winning Egyptian chemist Ahmed Zewail for three days.
In statements to MENA correspondent in China on Monday, Egyptian consul Ambassador Khalid Youssef said that the consuls of Japan, India, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Malaysia, the Philippines, Ecuador, Belarus and Venezuela signed the condolence book for Zewail.
Dr. Zewail is the first Egyptian and Arab to win a Nobel in science.
He died on August 2 in the United States of America at the age of 70.
