Egypt has strongly condemned the terrorist attack the targeted the HQ of the governor of Kandahar in Afghanistan Tuesday night, leaving the UAE ambassador to the country wounded and five other diplomats dead.
Egypt condoles with the UAE for the death of the diplomats who were on a mission to implement humanitarian, educational and development projects in Afghanistan, a Foreign Ministry statement said Wednesday.
Such heinous attacks will not stop Arab countries from fighting terrorism, the statement added.
Cairo stands by the UAE government and people in this ordeal, the Foreign Ministry stressed.
It urged the world community to intensify efforts to counter terrorism and dry up its funds because it is a threat to world security and stability.
