Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a security patrol in Bahrain and left a policeman dead and two injured.
In a press release on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid expressed Egypt's heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Bahrain and the families of the victims.
Egypt fully supports and stands by Bahrain in facing terrorism that is targeting the kingdom's security and stability, he said.
Egypt also supports Bahraini measures aiming at fighting terrorism, Abu Zeid said.
The spokesman reiterated Egypt's call for coordinating efforts to fight terrorism that does not differentiate between religion or race and has no boundaries.
He also underlined the importance of international solidarity to contain this serious phenomenon.
