The official spokesman for the Foreign Ministry condemned Tuesday's terrorist attack in the Turkish city of Istanbul which left 11 people dead and 36 others wounded.
The spokesman asserted Egypt's solidarity with the Turkish people in this critical stage, expressing Cairo's condolences to the families of the victims.
A car bomb was used in the attack which targeted a police bus.
The explosives were remotely detonated as the vehicle passed through the busy Vezneciler district at the morning rush hour, officials said.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey will "fight the terrorists to the end".
The explosion happened near the city's historic Beyazit Square neighborhood, a major tourist attraction, and an Istanbul university building.
