Culture Minister Helmi el Namnam has mourned prominent writer and author Alaa el Deeb, who passed away at the age of 77.
He offered condolences for the family of el Deeb, praising his role in the cultural life of Egypt.
El Deeb was born in 1939 and graduated from Faculty of Law in 1960. He had been working in Sabah el Kheir Magazine.
He had written a raft of marvelous novels and won state Award in Literature from the Supreme Council of Culture in 2001.
