The Bahrain Association for Tolerance and Religious Co-existence (BATRC) condemned the terrorist blast which targeted a Manama-bound police bus on Khalifa bin Salman Highway, near Jidhafs, yesterday. A policeman martyred and eight others were seriously injured in the incident. The association President Yussef Buzaboon described the terrorist blast as a criminal act that contravenes all humanitarian values and divine religions as well as the Islamic precepts which call to preserve life.
In a statement, Buzaboon called to confront those criminal terrorist acts which aim to shake Bahrain’s security and stability. He also demanded to hold accountable anyone proved to be implicated in targeting Bahrain’s brave security officers. He stressed the need for concerted efforts by all Bahraini people to deter such criminal acts which tarnish Islam and help promote unjust accusations against this divine religion. He also urged to track down sources of the terrorist ideology, voicing confidence that such acts will never undermine countries’ achievements or achieve any goal.
The association President lauded the security procedures in dealing with such crimes, reiterating the unwavering stance of the honourable Bahrainis in backing the security officers in their endeavour and sacrifice to foster security and stability in Bahrain. He also expressed gratitude to the activists in the civil society institutions and brotherly countries, including mainly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who strongly denounced the terrorist crimes that target the security of the Bahraini people.
