Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby condemned a terror blast that targeted a site of the Jordanian army near the Syrian-Jordanian border, leaving a number of soldiers killed and dead.
During a phone call with Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, Araby extended condolences to Jordanian King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people, government and victims’ families over the attack, a statement issued by the Arab League said.
Araby praised Jordan’s efforts in fighting terrorism, saying the Arab League is in full solidarity with the Jordanian government and people.
Efforts are needed to activate an Arab resolution issued by the foreign ministers’ council on taking collective measures against terrorism, he said.
