Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmad al Jarwan mourned the death of two UAE pilots during a mission against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The UAE is part of the Saudi-led coalition which has been carrying out air strikes since March 2015 in support of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
The two pilots were killed after their fighter jet crashed due to a technical failure, according to a coalition statement.
In a statement Tuesday, the parliament speaker extended condolences to the families of the two pilots, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan and the Emirati people.
