Official Spokesman of the Arab League Secretary General Mahmood Afifi condemned the terror attack which targeted a police bus in Bahrain yesterday and resulted in the death of a policeman and the injury of eight others. He extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyr and Bahrain’s leadership, government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
Afifi also affirmed strong support to all efforts made by Bahrain to maintain security and stability and combat terrorism. He also voiced categorical rejection of all attempts aimed at interfering in Bahrain’s internal affairs, shaking its stability and encroaching on the state’s sovereignty. He expressed full confidence that such cowardly terror acts will never affect the Bahraini people’s cohesion and determination to go ahead with the development process.
