The Arab Commission for Human Rights (ACHR) deplored Tuesday blatant violations committed by Houthi militants and their allied forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh during their siege and control over Aden.
In a statement on Tuesday, ACHR said it dispatched a delegation to Aden on September 11-13 to get familiar with the human rights conditions there following the clashes it witnessed between the government forces and militias.
It condemned all kinds of human rights violations occurred against the civilians there, such as killing the residents, destroying residential buildings, private and public institutions and facilities, and snipping the people.
The random shelling of populated neighborhoods in Aden has led to the killing, injury, and displacement of thousands of people, along with inflicting great damage on infrastructure, the commission said.
ACHR will work on the documentation of all these incidents to make sure that violators would not escape punishment following committing such war crimes, it added.
