Vietnam welcomes efforts by relevant parties to reach a deal on the Iranian nuclear issue on July 14, said Le Hai Binh, spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
Binh made the remark while addressing reporters' inquiry on Vietnam's reaction to the fact that Iran and six countries have reached a historic deal on nuclear issue after several years of negotiations.
"We consider it an important and positive contribution to the stability and security in the world," said Binh.
A historical nuclear deal was reached Tuesday between Iran and the six countries -- China, Britain, France, Russia, the United States and Germany, after marathon tough negotiations. Under the deal, sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union and the United Nations will be lifted in return for Iran to accept long- term cuts to its nuclear program.
