The Sudanese presidency honored Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on the sidelines of the inauguration of the border terminal of Qastal-Ashkit on Thursday.
The premier, meanwhile, honored Sudanese First Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh.
During the celebration, held at the Sudanese side of the border, representative of the Egyptian transport minister – who is currently in Spain – Gamal Hegazy called for achieving economic integration between the two countries.
The volume of trade exchange between the two countries has reached $14 million during the experimental operation of the terminal that started in August, the representative said.
