Unconditional comfort in the greatest quality Beirut - Arabstoday Uterqüe selects ElettraWiedemann and models MariqueSchimmel and Corinna Ingenleuf as the image for the Spring-Summer 2012 Campaign. Through the lens of David Dunan, the brand is once again playing with the dual meaning of its name –“both”, “one and the other”–, presenting the Uterqüe woman at her two opposite poles. Maximum femininity versus androgynous, through its most prominent collections: “Jackie” -part1 of the campaign- and “Androgynous”-part 2. Uterqüe, founded in 2008 with the idea of turning accessories into the true focal point of women's wardrobes, is firmly committed to the ready-to-wear segment this new season. Four years later, the firm has a broad and exclusive selection of garments, with accessories that open the door to imagination. The enigmatic photographer David Dunan has managed to recreate a bucolic manor house where Elettra, Marique and Corinna come together to reveal their best-kept secret: a forbidden treasure. After taking the company's flagship store on Pº de Gracia (Barcelona) by storm in the middle of the night, the Spring-Summer 2012 Collection is now in their power and there is no one better than them to interpret its magnetism in an unrivalled staging. The Collections “Empire” With the Empire State being the inspiration, this collection represents all that is refined and pure, providing unconditional comfort in the greatest quality. The elegance of camel, ivory and black characterizes this sophisticated collection. Dress jewelry with ethnic air and the bold presence of fuchsia perfectly compliment every Empire outfit. “Jackie” With Jackie Onassis as the main icon of reference, an explosion of color with a sorbet flavor flows through Uterqüe's most representative garments and accessories in this collection. It is a return to classic elegance, with ultra-feminine motifs and patterns. Flowers, pearls and bows take centre stage in a collection in which the cocktail dress, daytime tailor and renewed twin-set are the top choices. The joy of fruit in tones of mandarin, lemon or strawberry highlights the quality of fabrics like cotton with a silk structure, nappa leather or crepe de chine. The combined two -tone and three-tone handbags, retro-style glasses and shoes with platforms and heels in wood and jute are the best allies. “ Androgynous” With the omnipresent feminine ideal of the Nouvelle Vague, Androgynous plays on gender ambiguity. The dual concept of the brand's name, which means “both” and “one and the other”, can be seen throughout the collection, which features clothes with a tomboy style. The Art Déco current is imbued in accessories in which geometric and figurative prints in undated handbags, jewelry and foulards with clean and simple lines. The most commonly-used materials in the ready-to-wear section of the Androgynous collection are metallic denim, fluid silk and poplin. Silver is the new queen of this collection. This classic sheen brings just the right amount of excess to make all the styles dazzle. Alongside the shiny silver, an ice cold white forms the solid foundation of a color palette that gets carried away by the intensity of emerald green and sea blue. Just as opposites attract, the minimalist look of long, baggy dresses is complemented by richly-decorated accessories. Transparency is another one of the most significant new developments. This is most obviously seen in the methacrylate heels, vinyl bags and clear acetate jewelry.
