Rihanna for River Island collection New York - Arabstoday Opening Ceremony will exhibit seven of Rihanna's most famous outfits at its New York flagship store to celebrate the launch of the star's River Island collection on Tuesday. RIHtrospective will feature stage and red carpet looks, including the pink lace dress designed by Adam Selman and worn at the Victoria Secret 2012 show. The display will demonstrate the diversity of the Vogue cover girl's style, whether "really pulled together or grungy for performances", said her stylist, Mel Ottenberg. Rihanna helped curate the selection of seven - chosen to represent her seven album releases in seven years, seven Grammy awards, seven Billboard awards and her 777 tour. The exhibition will remain open for three weeks, WWD reports. Opening Ceremony was founded in 2002 by two friends from UC Berkeley, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, as a place to share their passions for travel, art, and fashion. Inspired by a trip to Hong Kong, the two decided to leave their jobs in corporate fashion to realize their unique dream. What began as a single store on a quiet street in downtown New York is now a global community with outposts in New York, London, and Los Angeles, a department store in Tokyo, a wholesale showroom, an in-house clothing line, a blog, an e-commerce site, a TV channel, and an annual magazine.
