Algerian designer Fouad Qarafi revealed on Friday night ,at Eurasia hotel his new collection which includes the traditional dress from different providences of Algeria.
His fashion house under the name “Gaddis en Aatancel “ displayed his latest collection for 2017 spring, that combine between modernism and traditionalism
The first collection under the name “ Black Flash” included the most traditional women’s customs from different cities like Algeria, Constantine, Setif and Oran and many other .
He used different fabrics like fine silk which dominated the first collection that was in black ,while the second collection was in spring colors such as blue, red and white .He finished his show with 5 wedding dresses inspired from the tribal dress, Auras’ quilt and Constantine’s custom.
He said in a statement to “ Arab Today “ that he tried to revive the traditional custom to be more suitable to young people , and he tried hard to create a traditional wedding dress to help the Algerian bride ,using in his first collection the color black to get out of what is familiar.
