Mervat Radwan's Autumn collection Cairo - Shima Mekkawi Jewellery designer Mervat Radwan's latest collection has been inspired by the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.? In an interview with Arab Today, Mervat said she used polymer clay when making her pieces. Taking inspiration from the Islamic month, Mervat revealed that she used designs such as lanterns, hand palms, eyes, and Nubian decorations to incorporate the blessed month into her collection. She also affirmed that she added text to some of her designs including "Welcome Ramadan" as well as song lyrics like "Hallo ?ya Hallo” which is an old Egyptian song representing joy and happiness. The Egyptian designer stuck to a subtle palette of shades, whilst keeping in line with today's trends. She recommended wearing the collection with plain outfits as they are quite eye-catching.
