Algerian accessories designer Nassima Gamei said that she tries to maintain the Algerian heritage in her hand-made accessories with a modern touch to keep pace with the development of jewelry industry, and meet all tastes especially the youth.
Gamei said, in an interview with Arabs Today, that there is a strong tendency among Algerian women to revive the national heritage, so she decided to revive the traditional accessories with a modern touch.
She added that the changes that she added to this type of Algerian accessories have prompted a lot of Algerian women to sell them, especially as Algerian women cannot go out without accessories in special events and even in normal days.
Gamei pointed out that she has inherited that craft from her mother, who was a professional sewer, and she worked in that field for many years, but her study of medicine forced her to leave this field for a while, however she returned last year to present new designs of accessories.
