Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam on Sunday said Dar al Iftaa is ready to provide all forms of support to the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and train the country's muftis.
During a meeting with an IIUM delegation, the mufti hailed bilateral relations between Egypt and Malaysia.
The two sides discussed ways to boost cooperation in the religious field.
Dar al Iftaa receives several fatwa requests from Southeast Asian countries, especially Malaysia, Allam said.
The Malaysian delegation expressed appreciation for efforts exerted by Egypt's Dar al Iftaa to serve Islam, especially in the field of training muftis.
