Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb announced on Monday that Azhar will increase the number of scholarships to Bangladeshi students.
During his meeting with Bangladeshi Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed Waheed el-Rahamn, Tayyeb expressed Azhar’s readiness to boost cultural and scientific cooperation with Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Rahamn pointed out at his country’s keenness on boosting relations with Azhar and to benefit from its moderate teachings that renounce violence and extremism.
