Al-Ourouba palace Cairo - Akram Ali The Egyptian judicial committee assigned to the inventory of the Egyptian presidential palaces, has revealed the existence of a big vehicle museum within al-Orouba Palace, which was dedicated for the residence of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak's familiy. This museum contains all the vehicles used by former Presidents of Egypt, as well as royal vehicles. The museum contains the car used by Mubarak in his famous visit for the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, in 1995, in which he was subjected to an assassination attempt. Mubarak decided to put the 1992 Mercedes model in the museum, keeping the bullets marks on its body. The museum also contains the car in which King Farouq was taken out of Egypt, on the back of the 1952 revolution, as well as the Pontiac 1955 model which was used by both President Gamal Abdel Nasser and his army chief, Field Marshal Abdel Hakim Amer. A 1960 Mercedes model that was used by President Anwar al-Sadat on October 6 1981, when he was murdered during the 1973 war memory celebrations is also present. The judicial committee recommended in its final report to open the museum to the public, so that it can contribute to the national revenue.
