Tourist guide Walaa Samir said that yacht trips are one of the best ways to enjoy a long vacation, pointing out that these trips could last for several days and involve all types of sports. She added that there are large yachts for families, stressing the necessity to ensure that all wireless devices are working well, so as to use them to contact the nearest port in case a malfunction occurs.
Samir said, in an interview with Egypt Today, that it is necessary to make sure that the yacht has a first aid kit and a map of the area. In some case an international license for the yacht is needed, when the tourist wants to sail outside the territorial water of the country. It is also necessary to hire a diver to accompany the tourists in the trip.
Samir added that there are long yacht trips that last for several days and perhaps a month maximum, pointing out that Large yachts host small concerts for famous singers who are delivered to the nearest beach after they finish. Samir further added that this type of trips exists in Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon and Dubai as well as the Latin American countries which witnessed the spread of this type of tourism for nearly 50 years.
Samir said that the there are three sizes of yachts including small, medium and large. The large international yachts can exit from the territorial water of the country, while the small yacht can sail only in the territorial waters, and this type of yachts spread in Sharm El Sheikh.
