Al-Qasba is gearing up to join three other major destinations in the emirate of Sharjah in hosting the 9th Sharjah Food Festival, which will be run by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) from the 25th of March to the 4th of April. The line-up of activities prepared by Al Qasba includes a variety of entertaining shows, exciting games and family cooking competitions for the 11-day event that is set to attract visitors from all across the Emirates.
Al-Qasba’s visitors during the festival will be treated to four main activities including cooking competitions aimed at the whole family, government employees and art, sport and media celebrities .The festival will also feature characters from the highly popular Nickelodeon Cartoons, Pizarro Academy for young chefs, barbecue competitions, entertainment shows and lectures on diet and cooking. Al Qasba will also host 20 stands displaying different cuisines from around the world.
In her statement on the occasion, Khuloud Al Junaibi, Head of Events at Al-Qasba , said: “Al-Qasba is one of the most celebrated tourist and leisure destinations in the UAE. Our participation in Sharjah Food Festival, together with Al Montazah, Al Majaz Waterfront, and the Heart of Sharjah, is part of our position as a major destination and venue for the food festival in the Emirate over the last eight years. We are confident that Al-Qasba’s visitors will share wonderful time with their families. We have prepared fabulous shows and activities for them.”
Al-Qasba in Sharjah attracts a large turnout of tourists and visitors due to its spectacular facilities and tourist attractions, including among others, various restaurants and cafes, the 250-seat Masrah Al-Qasba-Theatre, Multaqa Al-Qasba-Conference and Meeting Halls, Al-Qasba Business Centre, Kids Fun Zone, Al-Qasba Musical Fountain, Eye of the Emirates Wheel, and the Maraya Art Centre.
