After looking at the cost of a six-day ski pass, equipment rental, ski school and the price of an average resort lunch, the Ski Resort Report 2013 found that Bansko in Bulgaria offered the cheapest ski holiday for Britons. Published jointly by Post Office Travel Money and Crystal Ski Holidays, the report pegged the cost of a ski vacation at the Bulgarian UNESCO World Heritage Site at £274 ($449 USD). The average cost of a resort lunch including, coffee, wine, beer, and a Coke, also comes in at a respectable £15 ($25 USD). Overall, the report looked at 22 ski resorts in Europe and eight destinations in North America. While figures are set against the British pound, the listing also serves as a starting point for winter sport enthusiasts around the world looking for an affordable ski holiday this season. Separating Bansko and Kranjska Gora in Slovenia, the second cheapest ski holiday, is just £50. Livigno, Italy, Ellmau in Austria and Morzine, France round out the top five.
