Dubai International has recently been named Best Airport in the Middle East at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards, 2015.
Held in Dubai, the Awards are judged based on the feedback from frequent flyers and Business Traveller readers, many of whom regularly fly through Dubai International.
"We are very pleased to win this award as it amply demonstrates our efforts to consistently provide quality customer service to our passengers even as we have grown to achieve the title of the world's number one airport for international traffic," said Anita Mehra, Vice President, Communications and Business Development at Dubai Airports.
Business Traveller's Best Airport in the Middle East category recognises the quality of services such as check-in facilities, accessibility and transport connection, luggage handling, security checks and customs as well as availability of meeting rooms, restaurants and shopping.
Dubai Airports continues to invest heavily in new facilities and services with a view to help ease passengers' journeys through Dubai International while providing world class options for dining, shopping or relaxing. This includes the recent US$1.2 billion investment in the construction of Concourse D, the expansion of Terminal 2, and the refurbishment of Terminal 1.
Concourse D will feature a wide range of food and beverage options, including some world renowned names, when it opens in the second half of 2015 to serve the 100 airlines that fly into DXB.
