Algerian artist Ghazali Bin Sharif said in an interview with Arabs Today that he started his career by working as art teacher, and then worked as events planner, calligrapher and painter. He added that he always hated sitting in closed offices, as he opened a workshop for sewing and painting on silk. In Annaba province, eastern Algeria, he opened a small shop where he sells his art works, and then moved to Setif province.
Bi Sharif specialized in sculpture on wood to produce Islamic decoration, and turned into a professional carpenter and opened a workshop where he worked for 12 years. Recently, Bin Sharif decided to return to the drawing, and started to participate in art exhibitions.
In regard with the main steps in his career, Bin Sharif said that he once supervised the re-designing of an old mosque in Mila province. The mosque was completed in a record period of three months. Bin Sahrif said that he inspired the decoration of the mosque from Islamic decoration.
Bin Sharif has participated in a number of national and international exhibitions, where he presented modern technologies in glass painting and pottery.
