Graphic designer Peter Saville London - Arab Today Graphic designer Peter Saville, best known for providing the artwork on Joy Division and New Order album covers at Factory Records, indicated in an interview with Paul Morley at the London Design Festival that he is currently working with Kanye West to renew and expand the rapper's visual identity. This isn't the first time the American rapper has called upon a renowned figure from the design world. In 2006, he brought in minimalist architect Claudio Silvestrin to redesign his Manhattan apartment. He has also ordered furniture from noted designers, including the Campana brothers, Yves Behar and Maarten Baas. Saville said that he and West had a discussion about the famous YSL logo, designed by Adolphe Jean Marie Mouron, aka Cassandre, for Yves Saint Laurent. "You're Cassandre," the rapper reportedly told the designer. In the interview, Saville added: "He wants a YSL," Dezeen magazine reports. The London Design Festival, featuring a week-long program of events in the British capital and throughout the UK, takes place this year from September 14 to 22. Source: Relaxnews
