Young media host Hamsa Maged expressed her pleasure for the honoring she received during International Qamara Cinema Festival in which she was the guest of honor, stressing her appreciation to the organizers who exerted increasing efforts to ensure the success of the event which is important for Iraq’s province of Basra and the country as whole.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “The festival is well-organized. It is a very important event, as it could perform a major role in reviving cinema industry in Basra.” She praised the role performed by her mother, saying that she worked in media upon her request. She added that her mother was keen to push her forward in this career through increasing her confidence.
She stressed that the major factors to be a superstar are beauty, culture and Promptitude, stressing that she is still in the beginning of her career. She added that she attempts to enrich her media skills through contacting with the media experts in different Iraqi channels.
On the political side, the Iraqi media host stressed the need for discussing the issues and challenges facing the displaced people, corruption and poverty, saying that it is the role of media to deliver the people’s problems to the government to push it for taking serious measure to resolve them as soon as possible in the light of the current critical conditions witnessed in the country.
She expressed her aspiration to remain in her country, saying that it is not necessary to be existed in all over the Arab world. However, she said that if she found the opportunity to be existed in any other countries, she would seize it. She added that she gives the priority to media at the expense of her work as an actress.
She also praised her career as an actress, expressing her appreciation to the role performed by Director Atheer Ali Hassan who performed a major role to underline her talent in this regard. She added that she works not to repeat her artistic roles and to benefit from the experiences of other superstars with whom she participates in her different works
